When we think of Elephants we think of two words - majestic and inspiring! They are the largest land animal on Earth and their family structure is very close.
Female Elephants (Cows) often live with other female family members throughout their lives....mothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, infants (Calves) live and roam together. The oldest female is the Matriarch - she passes down all her knowledge to the herd about where to find food and water and keeps them safe.
Elephants are even known to grieve for a family member when they die - just like we do!
We would love to see Elephants in the wild one day - in Africa or Asia, where they're from - where they belong!
